Doctor assessment
You will have a telehealth phone consultation with one of our partner doctors (under the guidance and training of Professor Rodney Sinclair).
Personalisation
Based on the assessment, you may receive a treatment for your hairy woes. It will be completely personalised to you.
Pharmacy compounding
The first time you order, the pharmacist will call you to confirm your details, run through the ingredients, and answer any questions you might have. They will then compound your treatment.
Express delivery
Your daily supply will be sent directly to your chosen location every three months in discreet packaging via Australia Post Express Post service.
Ongoing consultations
The Hairy Pill® subscription includes ongoing phone consultations with doctors who specialise in hair loss. These happen at months 3 and 6, and beyond.
You’ll be provided with ongoing personalised support to answer all your questions, check your progress, and change your dose and/or ingredients over time, based entirely on your needs. You can also request a consultation at any time at no additional charge.
Subscription and payments
We’re a subscription treatment service. To start treatment, you pay the first 3 months upfront ($225). From the start of month 4, you pay monthly instalments ($75). You’ll receive doctor consultations, personalised treatment (express delivered to your door), and ongoing support. All payments are aligned to supply provided. We have no lock-in contracts, and you can pause, delay, or cancel anytime. We’re always happy to be dynamic to suit your needs.

How does the treatment concentrate growth on the head?
Most of the time, you won’t start sprouting unwanted hairs on your body because the hair loss treatment focuses on scalp hair.
Think about all the hair across your body (such as legs, arms, armpits, and the pubic region). It grows to a certain length and then falls out. The hair on your head will continue to grow and grow and grow until you get a haircut (in an ideal world!).
This is why the treatment mostly concentrates the growth on your head. The hair follicles on your scalp have the greatest capacity for stimulation and receive more nutrients and blood than all your bodily follicles.
In the unlikely event of unwanted growth, and because the treatment is completely personalised, our partner doctors can reduce your dose to try and remove any unwanted growth immediately. What’s more, the treatment only works when you’re taking it, so if any unwanted growth were to occur, you can always stop treatment to remove it very quickly
What happens if I stop the treatment?
If you stop taking the treatment, it may stop working. The treatment can be taken long-term but it’s important to attend your ongoing doctor consultations to track your progress and check in.

Are there potential side effects?
With 650+ ingredient combinations, our partner doctors and pharmacists have a great deal of control over what goes into your hair loss treatment to significantly reduce the risks of side effects.

How long will it take to work?
If you’re looking to treat hair loss, there is unfortunately no miracle overnight hair loss cure for men or women. Like all good things, the treatment takes time to work. For most patients, it may take between 3 and 6 months to start seeing results. You may see the results of hair health treatments sooner.
It’s important to talk to a doctor at regular intervals to make sure you’re on the right track.
How long will it take to receive?
The doctor will generally assess you for treatment within 24 hours of your order being processed (excluding weekends). The pharmacist will call to confirm your details, generally on the same day as your approval.
Your treatment will then be compounded and your order dispatched via express post. Depending on your location in Australia it can range from 1-2 business days delivery (metro) to 3-5 business days (rural).
Do I need to re-order to continue?
No need! Only your first order needs to be completed via the website. All future orders will be managed by The Hairy Pill® team. This will either follow a phone consultation with a doctor (also facilitated by The Hairy Pill® team) or a repeat dose, depending on your progress and satisfaction with the treatment.
Are the doctor consultations included?
Absolutely! All of your doctor phone consultations are always included at no additional charge. These are built into the framework at specific periods. Consultations can also be requested at any point in time. Please note The Hairy Pill® team can also follow up with the doctor on your behalf with any questions or concerns.
How many pills do I receive with each bottle?
Each bottle of treatment provided will be a 3-month dose with 100 pills provided. We work to a 90-day cycle with 10 extra pills provided free of charge in each bottle in case of any delays with postage or lost pills. This means each time you receive a new bottle of pills you should have approximately 10 pills remaining in your current bottle. You can start on the new bottle immediately upon receiving it.
What's the cancellation policy?
You can cancel at any time and you won’t be charged for it. Please check our delivery and returns and terms and conditions for further information or, as always, reach out to our team.
What's the refund policy?
We’ll provide you with a full refund if a partner doctor denies you for the hair loss treatment. We’ll also provide you with a full refund if you change your mind before your first bottle of hair loss treatment is produced and dispatched by the pharmacist.
Due to regulations, treatments won’t be refunded as a result of a change of mind or side effects (rare).
